Jodie Whittaker's final episode, The Power of the Doctor, achieved an average audience figure of 3.71 milltion viewers last night on BBC One, with 4.04 million watching her final moments before regenerating into her successor.
It was top of its timeslot, achieving a 21.7% share against ITV shows Gino's Italy at (7:30pm, 2.1m) and The Larkins (8pm, 3.0m). The episode achieved an 21.7% share overall.
The episode was the fourth most watched programme on television for Sunday, with the top three places all taken by other BBC programmes, Strictly Come Dancing with 8.0m, Antiques Roadshow (featuring a section on Doctor Who autographs) with 5.4m, and the BBC News at 10 (featuring an interview with the new Doctor!) with 3.9m viewers.
The 7 day consolidated ratings should be released next week, where the viewing figure for Jodie's finale are expected to rise as people catch up during the coming week.
